Am I the right instructor for you?
I started taking Pilates classes in 1994 with a member of the New York Guild. Within a few weeks I was rewarded with a flatter stomach and reduced back pain. Pilates became my passion when the method helped speed recovery from a work-related repetitive strain injury. I not only regained my strength and flexibility but eventually became even stronger than before the injury. This experience convinced me Pilates has much to offer Baby Boomers who want to keep doing all the things they enjoy well into the second half of life.
I have been teaching Pilates since 2006. I earned certification to teach the complete Pilates repertoire at Turning Point Studios (Walnut Creek, CA). I also completed Movement Medicine (Pilates-based techniques for injury prevention and rehabilitation) taught by Nora St. John through Balanced Body University. I specialize in developing exercise programs for home and office. Idea Fitness Journal published my article, “Pilates-Inspired Routine for Travelers” in June 2008.
