Personal, private, peaceful Pilates

What is Pilates
Pilates is a system of whole body conditioning and core strengthening based on the ground-breaking work of Joseph Pilates (Pih-la-teez).  Dancers, actors, and athletes were among the first to appreciate the Pilates method for its unmatched ability to enhance physical performance.  Over the decades, Pilates earned respect as a valuable tool for rehabilitation from injuries as well as an accessible and adaptable form of mind-body exercise.
Benefits of Pilates
Practicing Pilates increases core strength, flexibility, muscular endurance, and balance.  Properly done, the exercises improve body alignment, release habits of overuse or misuse, and reduce pain associated with arthritis and other chronic conditions.
